y = 7x^2 - 10

Switch y and x.

x = 7y^2 - 10

Solve for y.

Add 10 to both sides.

x + 10 = 7y^2

Divide both sides by 7.

(x + 10)/7 = y^2

√ both sides.

√(x + 10)/7 = y

Replace y with f^-1(x)

f^-1(x) = √(x + 10)/7
