The answer is:

Below

Work/explanation:

An expression is a term (or a few terms) put together with plus or minus signs.

Examples of expressions are:

\sf{3x+2}

\sf{4x-7}

\sf{p+12}

An equation is two expressions put together with a = sign, which shows that they're equal.

Examples of equations are:

\sf{3x=12}

\sf{4x-7=15}

\sf{p+12=24}

Hence, this is the difference between an equation and an expression. Do not use these terms interchangeably.

The primary difference between the two is an equals sign. An equation has a left side, a right side and an equals sign separating the sides. Equations also may have solutions. An expression, by contrast, doesn't have any 'sides' .
