Answer: 85 pounds

Step-by-step explanation:-

Given : The weight of an object on Venus is about
(9)/(10) it's weight on Earth and the weight of an object on Mars is about
(2)/(5) it's weight on Earth.

When somebody weighs 170-pound , then his weight on Venus will be :_

(9)/(10)*17=153\text{ pounds}

His weight on Mars will be :-

(2)/(5)*170=68\text{ pounds}

Then , the difference in the weight of a 170-pound person on Venus and Mars :-

153-68=85

Hence, the difference in the weight of a 170-pound person on Venus and Mars = 85 pounds
