Because the moon has less mass than the earth, objects on the moon are less effected by gravity.

Answer:

Due to low gravity, there is no atmosphere on moon. So, there is no air drag. Due to air drag, the fall of object slows down on the Earth but that does not happen on the moon. The size of the moon is one -fourth the size of the Earth. Thus, due to low gravity, the objects on the moon weigh less than that on the Earth. Large distance can be covered in small time. one is not able walk but take big leaps from one position to another.
