To calculate the mean, you must add all the numbers, then divide by how many numbers there are.

3+4+6+3+2+5+6+1+12+8+3+2=55

So, 55/12 (the amount of numbers) yields = 4.58333

The mean is the average.

Add all the numbers together than divide by the amount of numbers there are:

3 + 4 + 6 +3 + 2 + 5 + 6 + 1 + 12 + 8 + 3 + 2 = 55

there are 12 numbers.

Mean = 55 / 12 = 4.583

Round the answer as needed.
