the velocity of a car increaaes from 43.2 km/h [N] to 86.4 km/h [N] over a 3 second interval. what is the cars acceleration in m/s?

V0 = 43.2 km/h
Vf = 86.4 km/h
t0 = 0s
tf = 3s

The law of acceleration is a = vf-v0\t0-tf
First, we need to convert the velocity to m/s, so after converted: v0 = 12 m/s, and vf= 24m/s.
Now we can solve it by using the law :
a = 24-12/3-0 = 12/3 = 4m/s^2

Sol. Initial velocity u = 43.2 km/hr = 12 m/s u = 12 m/s, v = 0 a = –6 m/s2 (deceleration) Distance S = (V^2-u^2)/(2 (-6)) = 12 m
