.

An automobile salesman receives a monthly bonus cheque if his commission income is at least $6,300.00 in a given month. There are 55 automobiles on the lot for sale and he receives a commission of $700.00 per sale. Which inequality shows the number of automobiles, x, the salesman must sell in order for him to receive a bonus cheque at the end of the month?

I think the answer will be the LAST ONE (D)

WHY?

Because $6,300.00 is a given month.

So if you multiply $700.00 (per sale) and 55 (automobiles) it will five you 38,500

Hope this helps :)

Answer:

It is either 700x ≥ 6300 or

x ≥ 90

Explanation:

He makes 700 / sale.

He needs to have 700*x ≥ 6300 where x is the number of autos sold. The equal sign comes from "at least."

Divide both sides by 700

x ≥ 6300/700

x ≥ 90
