Simplify the expression 6X + 12 y + 5 + 2y + 8

there are two coefficients in this equatin,why because we have two variables "x and y " . Therefore the coefficients are (+6 for variable x) and (+14 for variable y) and we have only one constant...why? because we can only have one constant in a given equation.
