The Judiciary Act of 1789 left state laws and courts in place but gave federal courts the ability to rule on state laws. At the same time, the French Revolution and the French/British War were threatening to draw America into European troubles once again. Washington chose neutrality.

Explain how these two decisions helped establish a stable and lasting government

Answer:

I believe that The judiciary act made it so that states were able to keep their own laws and courts but the federal courts were able to decide when their laws were considered eligible at a given time, thus having the ability to regulate what the states can do on their own, but they still get a say.
