To solve this, you must determin variables.
Elliot=x
Amelia=5x-13
Then, you must do the sum of those two variables equals the number of cans. Therefore,
5x-13+x=257
6x-13=257
6x=257-(-13)
6x=270
x=270รท6
x=45
