In order to find the answer, you must first find 15% of £200.

What I usually do, is make a small chart with 200 equaling 100%, and an unknown number being equal to 15%. Therefore it would look something like this:

200 100

? 15


Now, multiply 200 by whatever number is diagonally across to it, meaning the number 15.


200*15=3000


Next, divide the product by whatever is across from 200, which means 100.


3000/100=30

15% of 200 is 30


Now add 30 to original amount, which was £200, and you get your answer:


200+30=230

Your total is £230
