Explanation:

f(x) = -5x - 4 ⇒ y = -5x - 4 switch the x's and y's and solve for y

x = -5y - 4

+4 +4

x + 4 = -5y


(x+4)/(-5) = (-5y)/(-5)


-(x+4)/(5) = y


(-x-4)/(5) = y


(-1)/(5)x - (4)/(5)  = y
