You are solving for x here. To solve for x you need to isolate it onto one side of the equation. First multiply -4 into (-6x - 3) to get 24x + 12. Now that you have a simplified equation on both sides, subtract 12 from both sides to get 24x = 0. Because anything multiplied by 0 equals 0, x = 0.
