She is thinking how to get back to the spaceship which she can see 50 meters from her current location. what can she do to get back to the spaceship? she could throw her tool belt in the opposite direction, sending her floating towards her ship. That would apply to Newton's Law ofwhat is in motion stays in motion unless interrupted. Therefore if you threw it one way you would keep going the other way because there are no molecules to interrupt your path.
