B. Most nuclear energy plants are close to water to help cool the reactors, and that water discharged from the plant could disturb the population of fish and other aquatic animals.

The correct answer is C) it produces dangerous radioactive waste.

A disadvantage of nuclear energy production is that it produces dangerous radioactive waste.

Nuclear energy has advantages but their disadvantages are very dangerous. First of all, radiation. The exposure to this king of energy is dangerous because, in case of an accident, the radiation can kill people and create natural disaster as it happened in Chernobyl, USSR on April 26, 1986, close to the city of Pripyat, Ukrania. By the way, nuclear energy is very expensive and the risk is always an issue.
