I would like to know the answer too.
Normally the subject would be at the sentence of the sentence. But right now the word 'uncomfortable' is at the start of the sentence.
If i rephrase the sentence to @ The beauty queen felt uncomfortable during the ride atop the float.
I would still say the subject is still the beauty queen. and the word 'uncomfortable' is the adjective describing how the ride felt.
