The answer is

3/2 78/x

78(2) = 3x

156 = 3x

Divide 3 Divide 3

52 = x

52cats

so lets start off with 3:2

if they already have the 78 dogs they want 2/3 of cats (2/3 of 78 since they want 1/3 more of dogs)

78÷3= is 26

this means 26 is 1/3 but we want two thirds so we times it by 2! which is 52, the answer should be

78:52

hope this helps!~~♡♡chyna
