kim made two pies that were excatly the same size. the first pie was a cherry pie, which she cut into 6 equal slices. the second pie was a pumpkin pie,which she cut into 12 equal slice. kim takes her pies to a party. people eat 3 slices of cherry pie and 6 slices of pumpkin pie. did people eat more cherry pie or punpkin pie?

6 cherry = 12 pumkin

3 cherry = 6 pumkin so they ate the same amount.

if the cherry pie was cut into 6 equal slices, and only 3 slices are eaten that would leave a half(1/2)

if the pumpkin pirate was cut into 12 equal.slices and only 6 slices were eaten that would again, leave half of it left. (1/2)

the answer is they ate the same amount of pie, since half was eaten and left on each pie
