new york had a very bad snow strom over the weekend. it sniwed 10 inches on friday, 12.3 inches on saturday and 5.125 inches on sunday. how much more snow fell on friday and saturday than on sunday?

We know that on Friday it snowed 10 inches

And on Saturday is snowed 12.3

So our problem here is how much more snow fell on Friday and Saturday than on Sunday.

So we would have to add Friday and Saturday's inches of snow together

10 + 12.3 = 22.3

Then subtract how much it snowed on Sunday

22.3 - 5.125 = 17.175

It snowed 17.175 cinches on Friday and Saturday than it did on Sunday.
