Suppose an author uses multiple narrators to tell a story about a spoiled boy who is sold into slavery by his conniving brothers. Which sentence from the story would best convey the point of view of a trader who buys the boy as a slave ?

A. None of them would look at me as I pleaded for mercy, for an explanation.

B. Something about their story just didn't add up. but that's not my problem

C. How could we have done such a thing to a member of our own family?

D. It's too late now for second-guessing, so we'd better come up with

The answer is I option B “Something about their story just didn’t add up, but that’s not my problem” Because it doesn’t sound like the boy’s family members, or the boy himself.

Answer: B) Something about their story just didn't add up, but that's not my problem.

Explanation: From the given options, the one that would best convey the point of view of a trader who buys the boy as a slave, is the corresponding to option B, because as we can see, he has doubts about the boys' story, but he doesn't really care. The sentence A seems to be from the point of view of the boy being sold, and the sentences C and D, from the point of view of the boys that sold their brother.
