An angle is 68 degrees more than 3 times it’s supplementary angle find the measures of the two angles

28° and 152°

let the angle be x then supplementary angle = 3x + 68

Supplementary angles sum to 180° , hence

x + 3x + 68 = 180

4x + 68 = 180 ( subtract 68 from both sides )

4x = 112 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x =
(112)/(4) = 28

the angles are 28° and ( 3 × 28) + 68 = 84 + 68 = 152°
