On this graph we go down 1 meaning our rise will be -1.

Second:

Calculate the run:

On the graph we go right 5 so the run would be 5.

Third:

We put the rise and run together to get the slope.

Hence, the answer is -1/5

Notes:

Rise means how many units you move up or down from point to point.

Run means how far left or right you move from point to point.

Up and Right= + outcome

Down and Left= - outcome

Also if your rise over run is the same number but two negative number the slope would turn into a positive.
