First, model it out in an equation, and lets say x is the amount carrie walked

x+2x+3x=15

Then, combine like terms

6x=15

then divide

2.5

So now we have carries walk speed, then we go by the question, multiply 3 by 2.5 for amy, and 2 by 2.5 for marcus

carrie walked 2.5 miles

marcus walked 5 miles

amy walked 7.5
