The answer is: −7x^2+16x+17

Use the distributive property and multiply -3 by 4x and -6x

Which would look like after (-12x^2+18x)

Then it would look like this: (-12x^2+18x) + 5x^2 + 17-2x

Combine Like Terms

Then add -12x^2 + 5x^2 = -7x^2

Then subtract 18x -2 which equals 16x

Lastly you would leave the 17 alone since this one has no like terms. The answer would be: −7x^2+16x+17
