To find the mean you must:

-17 + -14 + -9 + 0 + 12 + 32 + 52 = 56

Then divide 56 by how many numbers are in this set so there are 7 numbers so we divide 56 by 7 and I don't even have to do the work for this because it's basic multiplication.

The answer is: 8.

Answer:

Mean is 8

Explanation:

Given observations,

-17, 32, -9, 0, 52, 12, -14

Sum of the observations = -17 + 32 + (-9) + 0 + 52 + 12 + (-14)

= 96 - 40

= 56

Number of observations = 7,

Hence,

\text{Mean} = \frac{\text{Sum of the observations}}{\text{Number of the observations}}

=(56)/(7)

= 8
