Ted says that 7 tenths multiplied by 10 equals 70 hundredths. Is he correct? Use a place value chart to explain your answer.

"7 tenths" would be 7/10 or 0.7. Multiplying this by 10 results in 7, which is not equal to "70 hundredths. No, Ted is incorrect.

"70 hundredths" would be 0.70.
