1. Refer to the equation 3x - 2y = -18 Complete the table of values for at least 2 points. Show your work.

Use the table of values to graph the line.

2. Use the equation y = 4x to answer the questions. Graph y = 4x.
What is the slope of y = 4x and what does this mean?

Part 1

For the given equation
3x-2y=-18, complete the table:

1) when x=0, then

3\cdot 0-2y=-18,\\ -2y=-18,\\ y=9;

2) when y=0, then

3x-2\cdot 0=-18,\\ 3x=-18,\\ x=-6;

3) when x=2, then

3\cdot 2-2y=-18,\\ -2y=-24,\\ y=12;

4) when x=4, then

3\cdot 4-2y=-18,\\ -2y=-30,\\ y=15.

Therefore, the table is

\begin{array}{ccccc}x&0&2&4&-6\\y&9&12&15&0\end{array}

With these data you can plot the graph of the function (see 1st diagram).

Part 2

The graph of the function y=4x is represented in the second diagram. The slope of the line is m=4.
