You find a unit rate by divide to fraction.

Ex:

4/5 x 9/5 = 36/25

Solve 4/5 to 5/9

Find common denominators:

4/5 = 36/45

5/9 = 25/45

Copy Dot Flip:

36/45 x 45/25

= 1575/1125

Divide:

1575 / 1125 = 1.4

Answer:

1.4
