By definition of average acceleration,

\bar a=(\Delta v)/(\Delta t)

\implies15.0\,(\mathrm m)/(\mathrm s^2)=(160.0\,(\mathrm m)/(\mathrm s)-100.0\,(\mathrm m)/(\mathrm s))/(\Delta t)

\implies\Delta t=4.00\,\mathrm s
