jacks mother gave him 50 chocalates to give to his freinds at his borthday party.he gave 3 chocalates to each of his friends and still had 2 left.Write an equation to determine the number of friends (x) at jacks party

We know that jack's mother has given jack 50 chocolate bars and was supposed to give 3 to each friend.

Unfortunately, 3 only goes to 48, So basically we can do 48/3 = 16

Since each friend is there.

We can do 50 - 3x = 2

Since 50 - 2 equals 48 (which is how many times 3 can go into)

16 kids are in Jack's party
