Well, to find the area of a square, since each side of a square is going to be the same, you multiply both sides or use the equation of Length times Width.

In your problem, both sides are 10 mm, so, the equation would be 10 × 10, or

{10}^(2)
Which, when you do the math, equals 100.

It is 100 because 10 times 10 = 100.
