If the salesperson receives a 2% commision on the sale price (which I am assuming) first you want to calculate the sale price.

Total price - 15% * total price

so

275 - (.15*275)

233.75 is the sale price.

Then take two percent of that

233.75 * .02 = $4.675

They make $4.68 (If rounded to the nearest cent.)
