He actually felt a duty to work hard to be an outstanding wizard like his parents, to prove himself worthy the honor.
There is a disadvantage as well. That is Harry had missed the early wizarding education. If his uncle and aunt treated him properly by letting him know everything of his parents, Harry could have learnt something about wizarding. It’s believable that he might be a good wizard boy already before his eleventh birthday. Anyway, I’m happy to see that he didn’t try to use the reputation to pursue a priority.
