Remember the formula for time is distance/speed

So 60 would be the distance, or 60m.

Answer:

60 represents the distance

Explanation:

Given : y is the time in hours that it takes Micheal to travel to his grandparents house,

x is his average speed in miles per hour.

To Find: What does the number 60 represents

Solution :

Time= y

x = speed

So, To find distance we will use formula :

Time = (Distance)/(Speed)

y = (Distance)/(x) -- A

Given function:
y = (60)/(x) --B

On comparing A and B

Distance = 60 miles

So, 60 represents the distance .
