Answer: Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of airways(nasal cavity, trachea , bronchiole). The disease manifests as recurrent attacks of wheezing, coughing and shortness of breath. The muscles surrounding the airways restricts the passage and there is a limiting amount of air supply to the body causing a choking sensation. As there is a natural defence mechanism in our body asthma induce the secretion of sputum and mucus, that leads to constrict the airways , making the asthma attack worse.

As a result of loss of oxygen there is a condition called hypoxia and because of this there could be some serious issues related to the body depending upon the time interval of asthma .These can be

  • Confusion
  • Cough
  • Fast heart rate
  • Rapid breathing
  • Shortness of breath
  • Slow heart rate
  • Sweating
  • Wheezing
