X = short side
2x-1 = longest side
X+ 4 = 3rd side
Add them together and set them equal to 31
X+2x-1+x+4=31
4x+ 3=31
Subtract 3 from both sides
4x = 28
X=7
The short side is 7. The long side is 2(7)-1=13
The third side is 7+4 =11
