You can use the definition of sin to solve it.

sin(45 deg) = x/13

sin(45 deg) is known to be
(√(2))/(2) so

x = (13√(2))/(2)

Let me know if you have questions.

The answer is C. Why? well, you should know SOH-CAH-TOA. IN THIS CASE YOU WILL USE SOH. SINE OVER HYPOTENUSE. THEN YOU SUBSTITUTE. SIN 45°= OPPOSITE/HYPOTENUSE. SIN45°=X/13 WHICH GIVES U CHOICE C.
