Solution

Doing this by hand can be a bit of trouble. I think the easiest way is to multiply the first and third together and then worry about the middle one.

`(2)/(3)*(1)/(4)=(2*1)/(3*4)=(2)/(12)=(1)/(6)`

now just multiply your answer from the above job with the middle fraction.

`(1)/(6)*(12)/(17) =(1*12)/(6*17)=(2)/(17)`

because 12 ÷ 6 = 2
