A batch of cookies for 3/4 cup of flour.You want to make 1/2 of a batch.How much flour do you need?

First will make the fraction is easier by turning it into 6/8 but because we’re halving it the we only halve the numerator, so it’s 3/8.

For the total batch you need 3/4 cup and you only want one half of that, so you need to multiply 3/4 by 1/2


(3)/(4) * (1)/(2) = (3)/(8)
