The answer is w = (4(a-3))/3. 12 is added to both sides to get 3w = 4a+12. Then 4 is factored out of 4a and 12 to produce 4(a+3). Finally, each side is divided by 3 to get an answer of w = (4(a-3))/3.

I would think the answer would be 0.26 if you add positive 12 to both sides of 3 and 12 and then bring down 4a but before that you would get 15 and the divide by 15 on both sides then divide 4÷15=0.26
