Number of beverages sold by cafe= 1,400

Number of beverages which were coffee= 60 % of number of beverages sold.

So, number of coffees that the café sell in the month= 60 % of 1400

=(60)/(100)* 1,400\\\\= 60 * 14\\\\=840

Keep in mind, x % of y is ,
(x y)/(100)

Number of Coffees that cafe sell in month= 840

the proprtion of coffees sold is 0.6 times to total sales so 1400×0.6 is the amount of coffes sold which equals 840
