What do you notice about the ratio of hydrogen to oxygen in each monosaccharides

The ratio of hydrogen and oxygen is always 2:1 in every monosaccharides.

Their general formula are CnH2nOn, where n is a variable.
For example in glucose, a type of monosaccharide, the chemical formula is C6H12O6, where 12:6 is 2:1 which corresponds to the answer.
