Even if x=0, y= 25 (base fee)

SO y intercept =25

Slope = charge per drive = 0.10

So equation is

y =0.1x +25

To find out how many miles did a customer drive if the customers bill was $37.80, we can use the above equation.

y = 37.80 and x =?

37.80=0.1x+25

0.1x = 12.80

x = 12.80/0.1 = 128 miles
