Answer: A= -3

Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

a−2=

3+6a

3

a+−2=2a+1(Distribute)

a−2=2a+1

Step 2: Subtract 2a from both sides.

a−2−2a=2a+1−2a

−a−2=1

Step 3: Add 2 to both sides.

−a−2+2=1+2

−a=3

Step 4: Divide both sides by -1.

−a

−1

=

3

−1

a=−3
