  8. Epigraph: epigraph is a phrase, quotation, or poem that is set at the beginning.
  9. Euphemism: polite, indirect expressions that replace words and phrases considered harsh and impolite.
  10. Foreshadowing: literary device in which a writer gives an advance hint of what is to come later.
  11. Imagery: Usually you can almost picture it is so detailed you feel like you can actually see it happening.
