If we use X to represent the amount of quarts for the inside of the barn we can write an equation for this. The outside needs 19 quarts more so we can say this is (x+19)
x+x+19=107
2x+19=107
2x=88
x=44 quarts
convert to gallons by dividing by 4 and you have 11 gallons for the inside
