7,900 chairs per months if production lowered by 6% find the new number of chairs produced each month

To get 6%, the easiest way I have found is to multiply the total number by the decimal form of the percentage and then subtract that from the total:


7900 x 0.06= 474

7900-474= 7426 per month.
