(4k+2)(k-2)/(k^2-4)(2k+1)

=2(2k+1)(k-2)/ (k^2-2^2)(2k+1)

Cancel out 2k+1

2(k-2)/(k-2)(k+2) using a^2-b^2=(a-b)(a+b)

cancel out k-2

2/k+2

Therefore numerator is 2
