Here is you're answer:

In order to solve this equation you must first change the mixed numbers into improper fractions then use KCF. (Keep, Change, Flip)

  • -4(1)/(2) / -2(2)/(3)
  • Change into improper fractions:

  • -4(1)/(2) =(-9)/(2)

  • -2(2)/(3) = (-8)/(3)

  • (-9)/(2) / (-8)/(3)
  • Apply KCF:

  • (-9)/(2) * (-3)/(8)
  • Now multiply:

  • (-9)/(2) * (-3)/(8) = (27)/(16)
  • Remember that a negative times a negative is a positive:

  • = (27)/(16)
  • Change into a mixed number:

  • (27)/(16) = 1(11)/(16)

  • = 1(11)/(16)

Therefore you're answer is "1 11/16."

Hope this helps!
