Remove parenthesis

-7=3

Calculate the sum

-4

Because there are 2 minus signs next to each other, we can replace both of them with a single plus sign.

This changes the equation to -7 + 3

Adding to a negative number makes the number appear smaller, so 3 + -7 = -4.
